Hi members,

Teams have been slightly alterred for the LAST TIME.  They are posted to our website.  Competition starts THIS WEEK.

Floaters remember from this week on you can only float for the SAME TEAM. 

U10 Coaches and referees.  Please try and keep this to 4 on 4 games.  This makes the court a little less crowded and often gives more players opportunities to develop skills.  Coaches, also feel free to go onto the court, stop the game and explain rules to them.  Referees should also try to do this.  Teresa, Sharni and I will do this also when we can.   This age group is not for competition points and is definitely a game to help develop players understanding of the game. 

Referees if you are unable to referee can you please try and find a replacement, this is very hard to do on the day.  

DATES TO REMEMBER - This Season Wednesday Semi Finals will be Wed 15.6.16  Grand Finals 22.6.16.

REP TEAM "Parent Fun Day" proposed date Satuday 16.4.16.  We had one of these fun days a few years ago and it was lots of fun. What you need to do is each rep team makes a Mums Team and a Dads Team.   The referees are the Junior Rep Players.  Any parent who has played basketball before is only allowed shoot outside the keyway.  

During the day we will have junior shoot out and fun competitions with prizes.

Start organising your teams now.  

Congratulations to our Rep Teams who travelled to Cairns on the weekend.  From all reports the weather was kind and the teams did themselves proud.  Many thanks to Tiarne Harch, Matthew Wight and Maverick Parker (Townsville junior) who refereed for our association on the weekend.  We truly appreciate your help.
