About The Hammondaire Hoop Group

 

• Christiaan & Justynn Hammond were born & raised in Seattle,Washington. 
• We grew up in the inner city of Seattle, basketball was just one avenue the Hammondaires used to help our progression. From grade school right up through college, basketball has paved the way for us. 
• During the Summer months from 6th grade-12th grade we played AAU travel basketball for the elite program "Y.E.S"(Youth, Education, & Sports) which was run & organized by legendary coaches Glenn Turner & Lou Hobson. a staple in the Seattle,Washington basketball circuit. 
• In High School, Christiaan attended Franklin High School where he played Varsity for 4 years & graduated in 2005. Other Franklin Quaker alumni: NBA's Jason Terry of the Brooklyn Nets & Aaron Brooks of the Houston Rockets.
• Justynn went to Garfield High School where he played Varsity for 4 years, and graduated in 2006. Other Garfield Bulldog alumni: NBA's Brandon Roy of the Portland Trailblazers, Will Conroy of the Minnesota Timberwolves, & Tre Simmons of EuroLeague Czech Republic.
• After High School we both earned Full Basketball Scholarships to play for Division 1 Universities. Christiaan attended Azusa Pacific University in California, USA. He graduated with a degree in Communications in 2011. Justynn attended Portland State University/Rogers State University where he graduated with a degree in Communications and Sports Management 2013.
• We grew up with a generation of "ELITE" basketball players from the inner city of Seattle. Many currently play in the NBA & Overseas. Basketball in Seattle has grown at a rapid pace & now it is are a hotbed for premier talent. To name a few of Seattle's very own: Brandon Roy, Jamal Crawford, Aaron Brooks, Nate Robinson, Spencer Hawes, Terrance Williams, Martel Webster, Tre Simmons, Tony Wroten.
• We arrived in Australia in March of 2013 & signed & played for the Newcastle Hunters as the two American imports. 
• We both had successful seasons here as "Students of the Game" averages in 22 games played: Christiaan averaged 18.1ppg, 5apg,  5rpg, &  5spg, Justynn averaged 26.5ppg, 10rpg, 4apg,  & 3spg 
• As brothers, the bond we have as family and as business partners has created a great balance of chemistry and it shows through the drills and skills we perform during our camps
• We create, organize, & run our very own youth basketball enrichment camps for all levels of competition.
• This past June, Hammondaire Hoop Group ran a basketball camp in Byron's Bay, NSW, Australia. The 4 day camp had a great turnout with over 120 camp participants. A great result for the Hammondaires!
