For those interested in the stats (and which basketball coaches are not?):

17 different associations had teams in the MJL grand finals and 12 of those won titles.

The associations with the most teams were Hills (8), Norths (7) and Comets (5).

The associations with the most titles were Norths (4), Comets (3), Hornsby (3).

The D1 titles were shared among the following associations: Manly and Comets won two each, winning all the U12 and U14 D1 titles between them. Penrith won two, both the U16 D1 titles. Hornsby and Bankstown each won one of the U18 D1 titles. Norths played in two D1 grand finals - U16 boys and U18 girls.

Six of the seven Norths teams that made it through to the grand finals were girls teams, continuing Norths fine record for developing girls basketball over recent times.
