Football Queensland Coaching Education Commitment

This week sees CQ’s Regional Football Development Officer Tom Mcdonald start his season long commitment to coach education within the local community clubs. The first club on his list is Rockhampton Grammar School who will receive a workshop on “First Touch” and “How to set out a session”.

Tom McDonald will visit all 22 community football clubs in the CQ region from Gladstone, Rockhampton, Biloela, Emerald and Longreach over a 19 week period.

“I talk to the club presidents and coaching coordinators to find out where they feel their coaches need work” Tom McDonald said. “This ensures the workshop is specific to the individual needs of the club and their coaches…. I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to work with the local coaches and look forward to talking football, football, football.”

Attached is Tom McDonald’s timetable, take note of the week your club is pencilled in and get along to the workshop!
