Football Queensland Community Awards 2013

Volunteer of the Year.

 

May’s many years contribution as a volunteer to the sport has been recognised by the State body Football Queensland in awarding May with the Prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award for 2013.

May has dedicated over 27 years to the sport and has committed herself to work long hours in the Canteen at Endeavour Park on Saturdays during the Season and at the John Bomben Carnival in September.

May just loves to help wherever she can and besides helping feed the junior players on Saturday she helps out as a volunteer at Meals on Wheels during the week.

 May will receive her award from the President of Football Queensland Mr Greg Redington in Brisbane on Friday 28th March at the Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Heart A League Game at Suncorp Stadium alongside the other award winners who have won the Referee of the Year , Female Coach of the Year and Male Coach of the Year.

FNQ Football congratulates May and thanks her for the outstanding contribution she has and continues to give to the sport
