Redlands United unveiled their new playing strip and sponsor in their opening pre-season match against Lions FC on Saturday.

The club has partnered with kit manufacturer BLK for the striking new designs for this year’s PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland campaign, which feature a modified black-on-red hooped effect on the home playing strip and a predominantly white away strip with elements of black and yellow.

The new designs continue the Red Devil’s brand rejuvenation ahead of the club’s planned centenary celebrations in 2018.

The club has also secured a new major sponsorship deal with National Australia Bank, who will serve as the front of shirt sponsor for the Senior Men, Youth Men and Under 18 Boys.

NAB Mobile Regional Sales Manager Stuart Davies stated the new partnership between Redlands and NAB presented a fantastic opportunity for both the club and the company, with partnership initiatives set to be unveiled in coming weeks.

“It’s really exciting and a great opportunity for us and the Redlands community,” Davies said.

“Redlands United is a big club with a strong grassroots feel and this partnership is a great way for us to give back to the community.”

Red Devils captain James Donnelly believes the new kits are a big improvement on previous years.

“The design is quite unique and our new kit supplier BLK has done a great job. I think if you look at other team shirts, ours really stand out,” Donnelly said.

“When you have a big sponsor like NAB on your strip it means that someone is taking you more seriously. Redlands’ club image is changing and this partnership enhances our professional image and adds weight to the club,” he concluded.

Redlands continue their pre-season preparations against PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland rivals Western Pride tonight in the BLK Silver Boot at Lions FC Stadium.
