While many focus on the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Premiership race, another title will be decided in tonight’s final regular season fixtures.

The PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Men’s Golden Boot, awarded to the player with the most goals during the home-and-away season, is still a three-way battle.

Redlands United player-coach Graham Fyfe currently leads the race to be crowned the competition’s leading goalscorer with 18 goals to his credit this season.

However, hot on his heels is Brisbane City goal machine Antonio Murray, who needs only two goals in tonight’s match against Palm Beach SC to draw level.

Also in the hunt is Jets strikers Royce Brownlie, who, despite being five behind with 13 goals this season, lines up against a SWQ Thunder side that has conceded an average of 4.61 goals per game this year.

For Murray and Brownlie, the potential recognition as the competition’s premier marksman would be the second time they have won the award - Murray claiming the honour in 2013 with 27 goals, while Brownlie was the 2014 Golden Boot with a league record 34 goals.

While for Fyfe, the award would be his first PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland personal accolade despite being one of the competition’s stand-outs over the past three seasons.

Brownlie is also the competition’s all-time leading goalscorer with a staggering 63 goals to his credit across 64 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland appearances.

Murray sits fourth in the all-time scoring chart with 45 goals in as many PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland games - his playing time limited in the 2014 season due to visa issues.
