Olympic FC Women wrapped up third place - and enter their maiden finals match full of confidence - following a sturdy 5-0 win over Redlands United Women at Goodwin Park.

Olympic rested key players for the clash against their bottom-of-the-table opponents but were rarely threatened as Allira Toby and Kirsten Jamieson delivered a two-goal half-time lead.

Jamieson struck again in the second half before Taliesha Derrick and Leah Miles chimed in late to ice Olympic's best ever finish to a PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women's regular season.

The victory means Olympic are undefeated in their past five outings ahead of their upcoming Semi-Final showdown with Souths United Women.

For Redlands, the result marks a 19th straight defeat in their maiden PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women’s season – with their last chance to snatch a point this weekend as they conclude their season against University of Queensland FC Women.

What They Said

“We played alright but we definitely have a lot to improve on. We need to focus on finishing and working as a team through the whole field and not just in certain parts,” – Kristi New, Olympic FC Women captain

“We keep improving week by week and I’m very proud of these girls. The first time we played Olympic they gave us a good shellacking and it was only five tonight, so I’m very proud of their effort.” – John Blanco, Redlands United FC Women coach
