Biloela Carnival - Sun 4th May 2014

BILOELA CARNIVAL REPORT

On Sunday the 4th May, 8 runaway’s teams travelled to a chilly Biloela to play in the Gay Fraser Carnival.

Our 3 senior teams were Sapphires, Pearls and Opals. All players gave it their all. With some close games. Ally Ainsworth-Chadwick and Angela McNamara showed their skill by playing up in the open division where Ally was awarded the best and fairest player for the open division. Well Done Ally.

We sent out 5 junior teams who all gained valuable experience .Gems team tried the very best and improved over the day. Garnets also played well. Jade made it to the finals where they performed outstanding reported their happy coach. Amber was a mix of amber and ruby all girls combined to make it to the finals. Again their coach was wrapped with her chargers. Jasper was our junior team who welcomed girls from many other grades and clubs. For a mix of girls that had hadn’t played together they did an awesome job. Tanesha Williams joined our team from Bluebirds and played brilliant in all games being rewarding her with best and fairest junior player for the carnival.

Congratulations to all players on a great day. Well done to our coaches and team managers for ensuring everyone was where they were supposed to be on time.

Thank you to our umpires some of you played a game, umpired then played again. Extra thank you to the umpires who swapped games and did extra games to ensure our duties were covered.

The biggest thank you is to our families who drove our kids and shivered all day cheering and supporting our players.

All in all it was a brilliant day. Bring on Sullies.

Cheers Tanya.
