Sailing a New World – as I see it.

It started out as an occasional visit on Sunday around lunch time, to the local yacht club. The man I married had been a sailor as a young person/teenager, with all his brothers and sisters. His parent’s, it turns out have been with the Club for many years. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the vista before me, with boats sailing and a friendly atmosphere.

Victorian Women Get the Results at Hobie Worlds

Australians took the top spots as Women’s Hobie World Champions were recently crowned in the Hobie 16 World Championships on Jervis Bay. Bella Zanesco and Jesse Dobie from New South Wales were crowned the new World Champions, with Victorians Michelle Bursa and Chelsea Haynes in second by only 1 point, and Victorian Pip Pietromonaco with her WA crew Josie Mark taking out third place.

Ronstan WGIS Invitation Race and Dinner at Mordialloc Sailing Club

Mordialloc Sailing Club continues to show other clubs how it’s done with regards to getting women and girls excited about sailing. The club recently hosted a Women and Girls in Sailing invitation race, and a Women and Girls in Sailing dinner.

Port Phillip Women’s Championship Race 3 joins Women in Sailing Challenge

The third race of the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series (PPWCS) 2014 Port is fast approaching. Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) will conduct Race Day 3 of PPWCS as part of their second and final race day of their signature Women in Sailing Challenge (WISC) regatta on Sunday 30 March.
