Melbourne’s wild autumn weather cut this year’s BLiSS regatta schedule in half and upgraded the scores from Saturday’s three races to the final series results, giving skipper Tracey Baldwin and the crew of Greg Clinnick and Paul Holden’s Sydney 38 Audacious their fifth consecutive multi-division win.

Entry list shows five Adams 10s will be on the water, suggesting some serious race training in the lead up to the Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta (AWKR) to be held over the Queens Birthday weekend 11-12-13 June.

The competition is hotting up both on and off the water for Race 3 of Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series this Sunday 3 April. Host club Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club (HBYC) have 30 boats for Shirley Freeman Lady Skippers Race and non-spinnaker division Bollywood Cup. A free curry lunch back at the club after racing is sure to match the heat of the competition, so come and feel the heat!

Round 3 of the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series 2016 is coming up on Sunday 3 April and sees a dash of ‘spice’ being added to the competition. Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club (HBYC) will host their traditional lady skippers race – the Shirley Freeman Trophy, along with a Non-spinnaker division, this year dubbed the ‘Bollywood Cup’.
