Albert Sailing Club launches 'Women and Girls Lake Challenge'

An exciting new event has been launched by Albert Sailing Club(ASC)for all female OTB sailors sailing monohulls up to 5.5 m overall length. The 'challenge' will be run as a three heat event over three separate days with short course format racing on each day.

The YV Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series (PPWCS) 2015 marks the third series which combines the existing ‘signature’ women’s events from the five keelboat clubs at the top of the bay into one event and will be contested on the waters of Port Phillip from February to May 2015.

Three young Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) members took advantage of the recently launched Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV) new Youth Membership category for 16-25 year olds and signed up for the Beyond the Bay (BTB) program to prepare them for ocean racing.
