Throughout the visit of Australian Basketball Coach Ryan Burns to Pohnpei many Elementary School Children have been learning the skills of basketball. Kolonia, Omnihe and Sekere Elemnetary School students have been lucky enough to have Ryan Burns and State Sports Officer Nimrod Half visit their schools for a number of basketball clinics.

"The kids certainly have a lot of fun, and they keep asking for me to come back so they must be enjoying it" said Ryan about the school clinics.

 With an emphasis on fun a participation the children have learnt the correct techniques for dribbling, passing and shooting. They have also been involved in some competitive games.

Ryan will be visiting Kosrae next week, followed by visits to Chuuk and Yap before the end of the basketball program in FSM. Many thanks to the FSM National Olympic Committee for coordinating such a worthwhile project.
