Basketball skill clinics resumed with Monfort Boys Town School on the 22^nd September. The skill clinics are conducted by Basketball Fiji’s development officers every Tuesdays of the week from 5pm to 6pm at Monfort Boys Town. On the 29^th September a male team from Navua travelled down to Monfort to take on the U19 Monfort boy’s outfit. The game was the second official game between both teams and was a very exciting encounter. It is amazing to witness how both sides have vastly improved after a month break and with only one game under their belts. The game consisted of four running 10 minute quarters at the Monfort outdoor courts with Navua putting up a gallant effort to come from behind to draw the match 24 all. Both teams were eager to have overtime played but unfortunately the Monfort community had to prepare for studies while the team from Navua had to travel back home. The program will come to a break on the 9^th November, 2009.
