School side trains hard

SAINT Joseph's Secondary School basketball players have been training hard for this year's secondary schools competitions. Coach Nicholas Wong said he aimed to make them this year's top contender at the competition. He, however, emphasized that there was a lot work needed to get the girls ready. Although the girls have the interest and determination to play, they still lacked skills and basic knowledge of the game. He has a crew of 15 girls ranging from 13-19 years of age. There are schools from Lautoka and Nadi who have been preparing and Wong has plans to start training other schools.
