MBHS dominant at basketball tournament

Marist Brothers High School is the team to look out for in the under 19 division of the Tuckers Fiji secondary schools basketball tournament.

Marist thrashed Ba Provincial Freebird Institute 57-12 and hammered Gospel High School 72-13 earlier this afternoon.

Marist will play Natabua High tomorrow in its last pool match.

In another boys under 19 match, Saint Thomas High beat Yat Sen Secondary 44-26. 

In the under 17 grade, Marist beat Gospel High 30-16 in their first pool match.

In other under 17 matches, Saint Thomas High School beat Laucala Bay Secondary School 44-14 while Queen Victoria School won by default over Suva Grammar School.

In the Under 15 grade, Yat Sen Secondary School beat Gospel High 29-16 and Latter Day Saints beat Natabua High 21-15.

In the girls under 19 grade, Adi Cakobau School beat Suva Grammar 38-17, LDS beat Ba Provincial 19-10, Yat Sen Secondary beat Natabua High 20-13 and ACS beat Ba Provincial 23-14.

In the girls under 15 grade, defending champions Saint Joseph’s Secondary School beat Gospel High 37-4, Yat Sen Secondary beat Natabua High 5-4 and LDS beat Gospel High 27-7.  
The matches are being played at the Vodafone Arena and Eds court, Raiwaqa.
