Four-way race

THE race for the top four spots is still wide open in the Raiwaqa Basketball Association women's Super League heading into the final round of pool games this week.

Former Easter Games champions Sparks leads the race followed by Lady Birds, Dynamic Redz, Saints and Chosen.

Positions for the knockout stages will be determined after the final round next Saturday.

RBA official Peniasi Kainamoli said the top four spots were strongly contested by five women's teams. He said the knockout stages would be very exciting.

"Next week will be the final round of pool games and teams are fighting for their positions.

"The top teams right now are Lady Birds, Redz, Saints, Chosen and Sparks," he said.

"The competition is getting interesting now and I believe all teams want to be in a better position before the knockout."

Meanwhile, in Saturday's games, Macpacers beat Mighty Mights 41-26 while Boston Red thumped Veterans 40-17.
