Day 1 Results of the Raiwaqa Knockout tournment

TWO wins to Warriors in the opening day of Raiwaqa Basketball Players Association Tournament ensured they will be one of the threat for the top prize in the two day competition at the Eds Courts in Raiwaqa. The team from Bryce Street in Raiwaqa opened the day's competition with a 19-11 win over G Unit before beating Noobies 21-18. With one game to play last night against the Bombers, the Warriors looked confident of making the quarter-finals on Monday. Another team from the famous Bryce Street that could also make the quarter-finals is Bryceland. The side thrashed Pitbull 44-22 in their opening game yesterday with their second outing against Knights late last night. Lami side Hands also started their campaign on a winning note when they defeated Knicks 26-15 in their first game yesterday. Spowart also kicked off their campaign with a win over Idaman 38-21 but they were unfortunate to lose to Veterans in a very close match 15-14. The RBPA tournament quarter-finals will start at 9:30am on Monday with finals expected at 2pm.
