Moses Seroney begins work at Basketball Fiji

Moses Seroney a form 5 student at International Secondary School is currently working with Basketball Fiji. Moses began work on the 16th June under the International Secondary Schools Work Experience Program. He will be working with the federation from 16th – 26th June, 2009 and in his time with the Basketball Fiji he will be helping Basketball Fiji's Development Officers (Lai & Mark) with adminstrative duties in the office and development work at various schools around Suva.

‘Basketball Fiji is an awesome place to work. I chose it because I am a keen basketball enthusiast. Learning how the federation operates and the different problems facing basketball in Fiji is a real eye-opener. How the Development Officers are working to overcome these obstacles, you get to understand more about organisations and how they are managed. The fun part is the development work and coaching at schools, its good to see a growing interest in school kids and teachers alike. I hope to learn as much as possible from Lai & Mark.'

Moses plays for Shaq Attaq ,a formidable team, playing in the Suva Basketball Competition. As part of the team they won the 2009 Easter Championships at The Vodafone Arena in Suva . Primarily he is a small forward/ swingman . His favorite player is Scottie Pippen, a legend in his terms. He looks to emulate his outstanding all round game and dreaded defensive prowess.
