Central College in top spot

FIJI under-19 rep Pita Gus Nacagilevu starred for Central College in their 16-4 victory over Natabua High School in the Tuckers Ice Cream Western Zone Secondary B/ball League on Friday which was held at the Lautoka courts. With the win, Central College maintains its lead in the U19 division. In another match, St Thomas lost to Tilak High School 9-12.

Lautoka Basketball Association spokeman said the competition was gaining momentum. "We would like to thank our sponsor Tuckers Ice Cream for helping in the development of the sport," Serukalou said.

"With the competition up and running the students are now able to broaden their knowledge and enhance their skill in the sport."

Results: U19 boys - Central College Lautoka 16-4 Natabua High School, St Thomas High School 9-12 Tilak High School; U17 boys - Natabua High School 18-16 Nadi All Stars; U15 boys - Natabua High School 14-13 Lautoka All Stars; U19 girls - Natabua High School 20-4 St All Stars; U17 girls - Natabua High School won by default against Tilak High School; U15 girls - Natabua High School 6-7 Lautoka All Stars.
