The review meeting was attended by the National Men's Head Coach, Paul Whippy, National Women's Head Coach, Michael Whippy, National Youth Men's Head Coach, Lai Puamau, AYAD, Mark Seccombe, NBDO, Fanny Simpson, BF Committee member, Emily Chambers andf NDC, Stuart Manwaring.  Unfortunately the other coaches and managers in the program did not attend.

The general consensus of those present was that the NDP was a good thing for basketball in Fiji and while it did not achieve all of its goals in 2008, had gone a long way forward from the past.  There were several areas highlighted as being problem areas that require addressing.  These included the lack of local competitions, the need to educate more of the basketball community about the program and development in general and more support from the adminstrators in basketball. 

The NDP for 2009 was considered and agreed that the Youth Development and Junior Development Programs be delayed until 2010 to allow for more junior competition and better identification. The National Youth Squad programs for 2009 will be of less intensity due to no international competition, however the National Senior Squads will start in November in preparation for the Oceania Tournament to be held in Saipan in June 2009.

All agreed that they had learned a lot during 2008 and now had a far better idea of the need for, and the process of, development in basketball in Fiji.
