WHAT IS GUAM ELITE BASKETBALL ACADEMY?

GUAM ELITE BASKETBALL ACADEMY is a skills development program which uses the latest and most innovative training methods to ensure the development of all athletes. The training staff lead by Dominic Sablan and Willie Stinnett have a deep understanding of the training process and use the necessary tools for all players to reach their fullest potential both on and off the court.

HOW LONG IS THE ACADEMY?

Each of the three sessions consists of a six week training cycle which is designed for each player to progress each week with a key aspect of their game that will be focused on. Each week all age groups will have two practices with the best trainers and basketball players on Guam.

WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR THE ACADEMY?

(Tryouts Aug.29th-Sep.2nd)

Session 1 Sept. 12th – Oct. 21st: Point Guard Training, Ball Handing, Understaing the Pick & Roll

Session 2 Nov. 7th – Dec. 16th: Dynamic Scoring, Offensive Footwork, How to attack any defense

Session 3 Feb. 6th – Mar. 24th : Defense, Team Offense

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS?

Focusing on five (5) different age groups, 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 15 & Under, and 18 & Under, we as trainers believe that these are the vital ages to establish certain skill sets that will propel each player to be the best their capable of.

HOW ARE SELECTIONS MADE?

Guam Elite Basketball will select a hand full of kids from the try-outs to take part in Guam’s first and only year round basketball skills & development training. Kids will be selected based on a positive attitude, willingness to learn, skills, and the commitment by both player and parent to attend each training.
