Secondary School Sports Week

With a jam-packed Stadium and an electrifying atmosphere, the Tongan Amateur Sports Association (TASA) took the opportunity to showcase and promote a range of sports to all students, parents and staff through activities, photos and information pages.

To view photos of the Sports Week, go to the "Photo Gallery" -> Secondary Schools Sports Week section at the top of the page.

Basketball was part of the TASA stand as targeting secondary schools is a main priority for the TNBA once sports week is over.

There was a lot of basketball taik with ex-association player and Suva representative Fereti Rokodi from Fiji coming to Tonga to increase students awareness of the dangers of doping and talking with them about playing fair, through his work Oceania Regional Anti Doping Organisation (RADO).

Since his playing days, Fereti has continued to remain involved with basketball being Team Manager for Fiji at the Commomwealth Games in NZ and South Pacific Games in Samoa. Fereti's son Sakiusa is a current national representative player for Fiji.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
