Exciting New Developments for the TNBA

The Executive Board and the new NBDO for TNBA have been working very hard at getting new schools (spesifically in the GPSs and Middle Schools level) to start basketball programs as part of their extra carricullum. Last week we finally cracked that (next to impossible here in Tonga) new horizon.

Isi Niualiku (New NBDO for TNBA), Bec Campbell (AYAD Basketball Specialist), and Palei Fonua (one of the Exec Board Members [Treasuror]), worked together to make this very exciting new development happen. We have singed up (or will be signing up within the next few weeks) 3-4 Middle Schools to start having Basketball as a part of the regular school classes during school hours.

These schools are; Liahona Middle School, Havelu Middle School, Pakilau Middle School (in Vaini), and St. Andrews College (Forms 1, 2, and 3). This is such an exciting event for TNBA and our staffs, and we hope you can feel the excitements in our words.

There is more to be reported in the coming weeks as we will continue to work hard to finallize everything, and to update our website as to the lastest developments of this new and exciting era in TNBA history.

We the TNBA of Tonga would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Principals of these Schools for their choice to not only start basketball in their schools, but also for their vision of the future that will be of much benefit for their school children. We stand together with them in working hard to ensure that the children of Tonga will have a better hope, in a future possibly in the great game we all love that is "Basketball."
