VEN - Venezuela nombra su equipo para Premundial Sub16
Venezuela nombró sus jugadores para el campeonato FIBA Américas U16 a celebrarse del 17 al 21 de junio en Mendoza, Argentina.
El equipo, dirigido por Daniel Centeno, saldrá rumbo a Argentina este sábado con miras a obtener una de las tres plazas para el Mundial U17 a celebrarse en el 2010.
La selección nacional está integrada por: Ricardo Solórzano (Distrito Capital), Freddy Torres (Bolívar), Anthony Pérez (Sucre), Anthony Sánchez (Distrito Capital), Yosman Liendo (Miranda), Michael Carrera (Anzoátegui), José Aranguren (Lara), Israel Blanco (Miranda), Luis Carrillo (Carabobo), Luis Maneiro (Sucre) y José Cubiano (Miranda).
El gerente general, Rafael Oropeza, informó que han tenido seis partidos de preparación y cuentan con marca de 4-2. Los venezolanos se encuentran en el grupo A junto a Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico y Brasil.
Los mejores tres clasifican al Mundial U17.
