The reason for attending Dynasty Annual Basketball Camp was to improve upon my basketball skills before college. Dynasty helped me improve my defence and offence skills as well my dribbling. My shooting increased about 10% after only 6 days of training. It was only after attending the Dynasty Annual Basketball Camp that I became aware of the lack of proper sports education in our Ghanaian high schools. For someone who had played on the basketball team all through high school, I was surprised by the amount of basketball knowledge I lacked. The coaches at Dynasty did not hesitate to educate the players, answer any questions and to give each and every camper a comfortable environment in which he/she could make mistakes. In my opinion, the respect given to every camper, irrespective of age, in combination with activities which were carried out in teams helped build the good habits of team work and establish the values of forming good relationships.

Dynasty Basketball Association distincts itself from other organisations, in the sense that it does not only concentrate on on-court development, but is also concerned about the player's off court discipline and lifestyle. There were video sessions which showed the workout choices of successful NBA players and how often they execute these workouts, et cetera. The basis of these video session was to instil the value of hard work in the players and to make them value perseverance and discipline. To me, these were lessons that applied themselves in other facets of life.

Dynasty did not only teach me the right way to shoot a ball and guard my rim, it also taught me to understand the game of basketball and to make the right choices, both on and off court. Dynasty gave me a priceless gift; an education.
