Friday 29^th July -

Sydney Metro Blues v Minecraft Queensland Comets @ 6pm

While the Blues cannot move from second spot on the ladder, this is a very important clash to kick off Round 4 with the Comets only sitting a game outside a playoff position.

The Blues are 3-0 against Queensland this season though with Bridie Kean and Cobi Crispin combining for 36 points in their most recent meeting.

Be Active Western Stars v Sydney Uni Flames @ 8pm

The Stars’ quest for an unbeaten regular season begins on Friday night against the Flames who they have defeated by an average of 37 points so far this year.

If the Comets get up in the game earlier on Friday night, the threat of dropping outside the top four could be the incentive the Flames need to cause an upset in this clash.

 

Saturday 30^th July -

Kilsyth Cobras v Minecraft Queensland Comets @ 10am

Backing up 18 hours after their Friday night game, the Comets will face a refreshed Cobras team who will have the added bonus of playing in front of a home crowd.

This will be one of the most exciting contests of the year with third hosting fifth but a win for Kilsyth would almost assure them of finishing third heading into the finals.

Be Active Western Stars v Sydney Metro Blues @ 12pm

This will be the second game of the weekend for both sides but the Blues will have an extra two hours rest after playing the earlier game on Friday night.

It will be a preview of the first Semi-Final in a fortnight’s time so both teams may play their cards close to the chest but the Blues will be desperate to gain some confidence having not beaten the Stars this year.

 

Kilsyth Cobras v Sydney Uni Flames @ 2pm

In the event two teams finish on the same record at the end of the regular season, the placings are determined by head-to-head results which Kilsyth currently lead by +9 over the Flames.

This adds an extra layer of entertainment to this clash with Sydney Uni not only needing to win the game but needing to win by double-digits to improve their chances of finishing above the Cobras.

 

Minecraft Queensland Comets v Be Active Western Stars @ 4pm

Do not be fooled by a battle between top and bottom on the ladder as the Comets are fighting for their season this weekend.

They have lost by an average of 29 points against the Stars but a 20-point performance from Mikaela Smith in their last meeting will give them confidence.

Sydney Metro Blues v Sydney Uni Flames @ 6pm

The final meeting between the cross-town Sydney rivals, at least in the regular season, will see both sides backing up from games in the afternoon.

The Blues have won every meeting this season with Kylie Gauci, Crispin and Kean all stepping up at different times, putting the pressure on Hannah Dodd, Annabelle Lindsay and Sarah Stewart to match them on the scoreboard.

Kilsyth Cobras v Sydney Metro Blues @ 9am

In the Blues’ final game for the round, they will look to continue their dominance over the Cobras after sweeping the season series so far.

Backing up from the night before as well as playing their fourth game compared to Kilsyth’s third could hamper the visitors though as they look to keep Lenane Del Toso quiet who looms as the x-factor heading into Sunday morning.
 

Sydney Uni Flames v Minecraft Queensland Comets @ 11am

Depending on previous results throughout the weekend, the fourth and final position in the finals could come down to this game.

The Flames have won two of the previous three meetings but the one win that the Comets did take saw them get to the free-throw line 13 more times which will be the recipe for success on Sunday. Mari Amimoto’s 26 points and 12 rebounds also proved decisive in that game.

Kilsyth Cobras v Be Active Western Stars @ 1pm

In front of their home crowd, Kilsyth may be provided with the last chance to end the Stars’ winning streak and they will be keen to improve on their Round 2 performance when they got within seven points of the ladder-leaders.

Only three Cobras players hit the scoreboard in that clash though and they will need a larger spread at the offensive end to counter the Stars who have two players averaging over 20 points per game in Chihiro Kitada and Amber Merritt.
