Prodigal sons return to Fox

THE return of prodigal sons Neil Hans and Tarcisius Mandarip, with the inclusion of seven experienced semi-professional players will boost the attack of Madang Fox in 2010-11 National Soccer League season.

Hans, had a stint with Esiloan University Inter FC while Mandarip played for the now defunct CMSS Tigers last season, were given a new lease of life to join up with the Madang Fox.

Also signing up with the Madang franchise are former U23 and Tigers goalkeeper Anton Pipi, Max Mende, Desmond Sow, Hamson Daniel (University Inter FC) and Adolf Horris (Eastern Stars FC).

Pipi has already joined up with the team while the other Port Moresby-based players will be making their way to Madang soon.

The club has also selected U20 golden boot winner Yama Shong of Wau and Madang goalkeeper Gashun Bangan.

Other U20 players picked during the tournament are Dengo Tom, Gamaiya Leo, Alex Kuris (Wau) and Madang's Ephraim Leo and Joshua Bellock.

The Madang Fox administration has retained Mol Buran, Gerard Lashel, Glen Mark, Barry Chimi, Douglas jenjet, Rudlof Gule and Daniel Wairon.

The club has also appointed veteran Bob Morris as head coach, assistant Michael Steven and Chris Guram as trainer.

Morris said he had worked with most of the players in the side and it would not be a problem getting them together.

The full squad: Anton Pipi, Gasun Bangan, Ricky Sambe (GK), Glen Mark, Dengo Tom, Afinini Tawi, Barry Chimi, Hamson Daniel, Lavi Sewa, Tarcisius Mandarip, Joe Sidi, Nathan Vincent, Gamaya Leo, Mol Buran, Max Mende, Lams Vincent, Desmond Sow, Kossie Awele, Yama Shong, Francis Bogg, Alex Kuris, Rudolf Gule, Ephraim Leo, Nathaniel Hans, Daniel Wairon, Douglas Jenjet, Alfred Reu, Joshua Bellock, Gasshun Bangan and Adolf Horris.

Two notable omissions were Ver Malagian and Jahmal Seeto.

The National was reliably informed that they have been retained by Besta (PNG) United FC for this season despite starring for the Madang side in the U20 championships recently.
