Shaq-Attack tipped to win basketball tournament

SHAQ-Attack is favourite to win the National U22 Basketball Championship at Ed's courts in Raiwaqa tomorrow.

The team led by Joe Patterson, Manoa Puamau and Joshua Ravoka displayed a strong attacking game at PRC courts, Nasese yesterday. They beat Mights 38-23 before going down to Freshman 28-38 in their final pool play.

However tournament official Joji Fatiaki said Shaq was still the team to beat. "I think Shaq played a good game today. They showed more constructive basketball game and I think they should do well to win this tournament."

In the women's division, Westcoast proved to be a thorn to the eastern teams recording impressive wins.

Nicholas Wong said the western team should be a hindrance to X-Wounds and Cougars.

"I'm very impressed with the performance of the western team (Westcoast). They were very impressive and played really well," he said.
