2010 Basketball Fiji Easter Club Champinships

Basketball Fiji will be hosting the National Easter Club Championships which will be held at the Vodafone Arena on the 30th March - 3rd of April, 2010. Only the best 16 men's and 10 women's team from their respective associations will be accommadated for the 5 days event. The team registration fee is $150.00 per team. The Lautoka Basketball Association have already submited the names of the four men's and three women's teams who have qualified through the Lautoka League for the yearly event. The teams from the west who will be participating in the biggest yearly organised National Open Tournament are 2008 Easter Mens Champs/ Lautoka Champs Vikings, Bankstown, Nadi All- Stars and Yungsters while Saints, Vikings and Nadi All- Stars will be represented in the women's competition. The Western Teams will be providing stiff competitions to defending men's champ and 2010 Boston title holders Shaq Attaq, 2010 National Men's Club Champs Saints and from Raiwaqa, Tu Vili title cup holders Veterans and 2010 Boston Club runners up Warriors. In the women's division in form Suva team Knights, 2010 National Club Champs Wed C, the Grace Taito Chosen and 2010 Boston women's runners up Golden Bati will be tussling against the might of the western based teams for the $700.00 cash women's prize and $400.00 for the runner up while the men's will battle for a $1000.00 cash men's prize with runner up recieveing $500.00 in addition to trophies and prizes for Best Players and losing semi-finalist.
