Saints take early lead

SAINTS are putting the sword to every team they come up against. Since the beginning of the Suva-Laucala league competitions, Saints have not lost a game and have become one of the best basketball teams in Fiji. Their experience and skills are outmatched. With speed and quick rebounds the boys are a lethal combination on the court. Team captain and Suva-Laucala president Leonard Whippy says next week would be the last of their league competitions as they have trials to choose two All-Stars teams to compete in the upcoming Fiji Games. They are currently looking for sponsors to help them out with their training expenses. "It would be a great if we could get a sponsor because we need financial help to prepare the boys for the Fiji Games which we are hoping to win," said Whippy.
