WARRIORS remain the team to beat in the Raiwaqa Basketball Association (RBA) weekly club competition as it enters the final stages, which begins next week.

The star-studded side dominated by the national reps continued it's unbeaten run after beating Boston Reds 32-28 in the final rounds of the men's competition at Eds Court in Raiwaqa yesterday.

Warriors led by national basketball reps Frank Saketa and Peni Sokosoko will play Police in the quarter-finals on Thursday.

In the other men's quarter-finals, Boston White will face Veterans, Boston Red will play USP and Macpacers will take on Bryce.

RBA president Saula Koroi said it would be interesting to see which team would break Warriors dominance in the competition.

He said the tough final rounds of the (men's) competition had set a good platform for the quarters to be held this Thursday and Friday.

"The results were very close and this signifies the intensity of the competition we had today (yesterday)," Koroi said.

"This weekly competition is a good build-up for the Easter Championship. Both the Raiwaqa clubs won the men's and women's title last year and we want all our clubs to be competitive at the championship this year."

Meanwhile, Ladybirds and Chosen are poised for a mouth watering semi-final in the women's grade next Saturday.

In the other semi-final, Sparks will face Redz.
