Development Clinic continues during 2 week break

The development clinic for kids between the ages of 7 to 14 years old was conducted today (Monday) from 10am to 12.30pm. The clinic will run until Friday 8th of May and on Saturday Basketball Fiji with the partnership of the Raiwaqa Players Association hope to have a junior basketball knockout tournament to round of the clinic. The purpose of the clinic was to build on the momentum from the primary schools basketball competition and also to continue on with Basketball Fiji's development program during the term 2 school break. Basketball Fiji officers Mark Seccombe and Lasisiasa Puamau supervised the clinics with the help of officials from the Raiwaqa Players Associations. Through the leadership of Basketball Fiji's executives and our corporate sponsors Post Fiji, through their hard work these development clinics were made possible. There were 46 kids present at the clinic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were either educated or re-educated on the fundamentals of the game. Basketball Fiji would like to thank the young men and women of Raiwaqa for coming out and showing there undefined support towards the development of the sport in the country.The numbers are predicted to increase as the 5 day clinic progress's. All are welcome to attend the 5 day basketball clinic. If interested come down and try basketball. Things to bring are water bottles, sports gear, proper footwear and $1.00 for admission.
