B'ball clash on

The Tuvili Cinavilakeba challenge will held today at Ed's Court when holders Waidonu take on G-Unit. The trophy was donated by Jo Toroca from the United States in memory of the late Cinavilakeba, a former national rep who was also the coach for the Boston team. "It will be stiff competition but we a relying on our experience to keep the cup with us. With the help of Tevita Ratuyada and Vodo Ratu we are hopeful of a good win," said Waidonu member, Nicholas Wong. Waidonu is led by ex-national Under-20 rep Aaron Ah Yuk, who has a very colourful record on court. The challenge should attract a large crowd as the boys try and get their hands on the trophy and the title. G-Unit is led by Apenisa Tuimabolau. Skills and cut-edge motions will be evident and this will be a worthy challenge to watch. Other than the challenge, Basketball Fiji assistant development officer Nicholas Wong will be running junior clinics for children aged 6-14 years. "We have been running this program for quite a while now and I am very surprised with the turn-outs," Wong said. "We have 25 children at the moment but every week there are always new faces turning up."
