St Joseph’s goes for 2 in a row

Saint Joseph’s and Yat Sen Secondary School showed their dominance in the girls division of the Tuckers secondary school basketball tournament after all their teams qualified for the semifinals today.

Both teams showed their class as most players play in the domestic competition.

For Saint Joseph’s under 15 captain Druma Kamikamica, it will be a different story as she will try to lead her team for the second consecutive year.

Druma said she lifted the under 15 trophy last year and now she has three players from that team who will try to make it two in a row.

Druma added they were a few challenges especially with the new players.

Saint Joseph’s will face Yat Sen in the under 15 girls semifinal while International Secondary meets LDS.

In the under 17 girls, Suva Grammar face Saint Joseph’s and Yat Sen will battle International while in the under 19, ACS meets Yat Sen and LDS battles Saint Joseph’s.

In the under 15 boys Marist will take on Natabua and LDS meets Yat Sen while in the under 17, giant killers Laucala Bay Secondary meets Edupia and International battles Natabua.

In the under 19 boys, defending champions Marist meet Saint Thomas while LDS will battle Natabua.
