Indoor Court For Lautoka

Lautoka Basketball Association plans to have an indoor court within the next two years.

LBA official Simi Cagilaba said they want to have one similar to that of Eds Court in Raiwaqa.

Cagilaba said they faced lots of problem playing outside with the unpredictable weather.

“We’ll have to our proposal through to Basketball Fiji then to the Oceania Basketball before the final decision is made for us to build the building or not.”

“But everything had being put into its appropriate place and it would take time,” he said.

“This was one of our prime objectives this season and already there was a draft plan drawn for the building.”

He said the building might cost them $50,000 and they had to pay a quarter of the money. “The building is not so expensive to build and we’ll be paying a quarter of the cost,” Cagil.aba said. Meanwhile, the Lautoka league last week went well with Bankstown edging Cougars 35-27 and Vikings beat Knights 45-44 in a close encounter while Nadi Juniors won by default over Namoli.

Cagilaba said they had seen some very close and tough tussle between the teams and they’re expecting more today.

Draws:

2pm Cougars-Vikings, 3 Knights-Nadi Juniors, 4 Bankstown-Namoli.
