would like to thank the Post Shop for investing generously into the primary schools basketball competition and for supporting the
development of young energetic basketball players. The competition today saw some very exciting match up. In the under 14 feature match
was between Veiuto Primary School and Latter Day Saints was a very exciting match up with both teams playing for top honors.
The very close encounter between the two schools resulted in Latter Day Saints walking away with the under 14 mixed grade title 16-14 in
overtime . In the finals of the under 12 mixed grade saw the mighty John Wesley take on the high flyer's of Veiuto. John Wesley was able to take control of the game and walked away with the much deserved win 10 -4. The under
10's finals was cancelled due to unfavorable weather.

We have come to the final round of a very successful organised Post Fiji Kaji Primary Schools Basketball Competition. Out of the eight schools
that are part of our development program five participate in the competition and they are John Wesley, Veiuto, Holy Trinity,
International and Latter Day Saints. It is great to see Basketball Fiji come to life every Fridays. We would have liked to have had more rounds played but unfortunately we lost three rounds due to the Tsunami National warning, Easter Weekend and World Childrens Day. This is not the end of the journey for these young talented young kids.Basketball Fiji has organised a basketball camp that will run during the term 1 school break. In term 3 Basketball Fiji is planning to have a neighboring primary schools basketball competition and this will be an ideal time to introduce eight new schools to the program. It is very exciting to witness that through basketball each participant is able to be filled with joy and
happiness. Basketball came be used as a tool to build character, build team work and install discipline in an individual life.

Once again Basketball Fiji would like to thank Post Fiji for generously sponsoring the tournament and also the Raiwaqa, Suva and Raiwai
Associations for coming out and helping with the running of the competition.
