Fiji Men’s U19 Basketball team confident to bounce back

The BLK Fiji Men’s under 19 Basketball side is confident of making a comeback in their second match of the FIBA USP Oceania Under 19 Basketball Championship against Tahiti tonight.

Despite losing their first match 61-47 to American Samoa, Coach Peni Ratumaiyale said the players have been reminded to stay focused and a win against Tahiti will keep them in contention for a playoff berth.

Ratumaiyale confirmed to Fijivillage that there will be changes in the team that will take on Tahiti and they have been working on the huge amount of turnovers they conceded in their first match.

Today the Men’s side will play Tahiti at 8pm while the Fiji Women’s side will face Solomon Islands at 4pm.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand men’s team has recorded their second victory after defeating Papua New Guinea 85-29 in the last hour.
