Basketball Fiji receives timely support
DESIGNGRAFIX Fiji Ltd is delighted to be part of the FIBA Oceania U19 Basketball Championship that kicks off in Suva next week.
The design company has assisted Basketball Fiji with all the banners and outside advertisements of the event which will be held in Fiji for the very first time.
Yesterday, Designgrafix managing director Nanjunda Rao said they were excited to provide support for basketball — one of the minor sports in the country.
"This is a major event for basketball and we're so delighted to come on board and assist Basketball Fiji," Rao said.
"We have supplied all banners for Basketball Fiji for free and we've taken care of all the outside advertisements. We've done this from a good gesture and with the idea of helping promote basketball in the country."
Rao said the Oceania event linked every other regional country to Fiji.
Basketball Fiji president Iowane Naivalurua acknowledged Designgrafix for their assistance.
Naivalurua said this time of the year, not many people would like to support such events.
"You're one of the few people that stepped in to help basketball especially coming to the end of the year," Naivalurua told Designgrafix during a press conference.
"We thank Designgrafix for coming on board, this is a wonderful time not only for sports but for business as well."
