Hibiscus Festival - Basketball for all

Although the emphases has been on the Twisties National Secondary Schools Basketball Championships that ended yesterday (Thursday 27th August) Basketball Fiji has another program which was launched on Monday 24th August and will end on Saturday 29th August. The outreach program in joint partnership with the Yellow Ribbon Program is using basketball as tool in changing the negative perception towards prisoners with the theme "Giving Prisoners a Second Chance". Basketball Fiji is proud to be associated with the Yellow Ribbon Program as we also look to promote the game of basketball at the largest staging event in the country. Basketball Fiji would also like to thank our hard working volunteers (Jeff Colata - coach of U19 International schools team, John Tuilevuka, Iowane Naivalurua Jnr - National rep and Max Qaqa) and our development officers (Lai and Nicky). The joint partnership between Basketball Fiji and the Yellow Ribbon Program will continue onto Saturday which is promised to be a fabalous event. All are welcome, so come & BOUNCE, LEARN AND PLAY Basketball. Prizers will be also giving out from 2pm to 6pm at the Hibiscus Grounds right next to the Yellow Ribbon tent and stage.
