Women's Outrigger Development Squad take Gold!
Samoa's Women's Outrigger Development Squad competed in the American Samoa's 2008 Moso'oi Regatta on the 17th, and 18th of October winning every race competed in.
Tautai & Pualele Outrigger Canoe club also sent over teams for the mens' events, and made up mixed teams utilising the women's development squad, and overall samoa managed to win the gold medal in nearly every event for the Moso'oi regatta.
Coach and captain of the squad, Cherith Lober would like to extend a big fa'afetai to everyone who donated towards the womens development squad through funds, partipation in fundraising mini regattas, donation of prizes, donation of uniforms, accomodation, discount travel by air and land... and the simple well wishes!. Thanks also to Roy,JD Hall and family for the accommodation and transport!
