In The Pipeline:
First, we are investigating the possibility of establishing 2 children's playgrounds both at Apia Park and the Faleata Spots Complexes. Proposals have been developed and distributed for the sponsoship of this project and we look forward to seeing it come to successful fruition!
Secondly, we are working on the development of the 2011 Samoa Masters Games. These games are normally played by those over 35 years of age and are more social and fun than those of the serious elite athlete. They include teams and games of every variety and skill. This is a bi-annual fixture that requires accommodation, transportation, food and all manner of in-country support etc. These games are not only of great financial advantage to the Samoan economy but also a fun and exciting way to attract more sports tourism to Samoa. We are confident that we can host a successful 2011 Samoa Masters Games.
