Sailing Away!
Well, if you haven't already noticed from looking out on the harbour on a Saturday morning, sailing is now in full swing. This is a sport that all ages can be involved in, from the very young to the not so young in a sport that is now becoming very popular, with membership numbers constantly growing. Leased from the SSFA, these sailing boats are used every Saturday during the season, which runs from April right through to December.
There are three classes, the Optimist Class for the new comers, then there is the Laser class for the more experienced, then comes the Hobycat class for the very experienced. The club Commadore is Ms Reima Von Reiche and she can be contacted at navigate@ipasifika.net or 777-1346, and the Fleet Captain is Nick Roberts who can be contacted on 720-5248. Good sailing!
