TITANTANIC EFFORT

On Tuesday the 9th August we held a ‘Sports Connect’, Multi Sports day in partnership with the NSW and North Coast School Sports Unit amd Dept. of Sport and Recreation @ Lennox Head. We had ten schools in attendance. 125 students plus care staff and teachers. We operated a rotation style day with students moving from one activity to another. N.R.L. Jetstar Gold Coast Titans development staff were an important part of the day. The BYL activity was a huge success, all students learnt the basic skills of our game and then practiced those skills. Dummying, passing, kicking, scoring a try or two and then playing a game to finish the rotation. Wheel chairs, vision impaired, physical, intellectual and medical barriers were not enough to stop these children participating in our skills activity or our fun games. Congratulations to all support staff for their professional and interactive approach to all activities. Students and teachers certainly seemed to enjoy the experience of practicing and playing A.R.L. based games. Finally these outings do not happen without the committed and dedicated attitude of planning and coordination staff, so to all, especially Jenny Warren our regional coordinator, a BIG thank you for giving these students an opportunity I am sure they will never forget.

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
