Sunshine Coast Shines

Currimundi, Nambour and Gympie Special Needs School participated in an in-school 4 week skill & game development program prior to the All Stars Men of League gala day at Caloundra Sharks SRLFC, a total 85 students participated. The All Stars MOL organisation have confirmed their support in raising funds to assist with the ongoing in-school program, playing uniforms, gala day travel costs for Currimundi, Nambour & Gympie Special Schools.

Currimundi and Pine Rivers Special Needs Schools participated in a League Tag game at Suncorp Stadium prior to the NRL Broncos & Manly. All players were overwhelmed when they ran onto the field to play in front of a crowd of 48,000, both teams were shown on the big screen during the game with the crowd applauding during and after the game.

ARLD continues their support in supplying staff to assist with the Disability Sport Expo approximately 150 students participated in the program throughout the day.

A 7 week Active After School Care program was conducted at Gympie & Currimundi Schools, a total of 54 students participated in the program during term 3 and 4.
