Seniors
The Bulls travelled to Boort Park and the seniors returned to the winners’ list with a 210-point victory. The goals were well spread amongst the forwards in a solid team effort. Awards: Dale Hinkley (Landmark), Stephen Paulke (Donnellon’s Bulk Haulage), Stefan Pye (Bowens' Sports Store), Nathan Gordon (Bridgewater Hotel), Will Lowe (Mildura Finance), Sam Simmons (Wimmera Mallee Accounting).
Reserves
The reserves also returned to form, defeating the Magpies by 112 points. The best players list was filled with players pushing for a seniors berth, ensuring there is a healthy competition for spots. Awards: Ruben Vesikuru (Donnellon’s & Cruz Clothing), Jak Goldsmith (Bourkes Butchers), Alex Noonan (Birchip Hardware), Joe O’Donnell (BWFC), Julian Liston (Birchip Motel), Mitch Barry (Wimmera Mallee Accounting).
U16s
Boort were too strong in the U16s, but the Bulls were competitive throughout. The eventual margin was 37 points. Awards: Tadgh Lowry (Sharp’s Bakery & Noonan Tyres), Cormacc Wilson (Jake & Billy Noonan), Sam O’Donnell (BWFC Ladies), Patrick Sheahan (Bowens’ Sports Store), Lachy Randall (TMC Enviro Coach’s Award), Nick Rickard (A & M Lee Encouragement).
U13s
The U13s succumbed to the top-of the-table Boort, but experience against good teams will be good for their development. Awards: Charlie Frank (Sharp’s Bakery & Noonan Tyres), Riley Hogan (Jnr Executive), Jeswin Daniel (BWFC Ladies), Charlie Barber (Mallee Branded & Jnr Executive), Joshua Woods (Landmark Coach’s Award), Connor Lee (J & K Sheahan Encouragement).
Netball
On the netball court C Grade flew the flag for the Bullettes as they continue to build on their season. They defeated Boort with good shooting by the goalies and good defence creating repeated opportunities in an impressive performance. A Grade – B-W 29 def by Boort 58. Hockey
On the hockey field, both junior teams had good wins while the senior teams had a day to forget. Women’s lost 3-0. Hannah Cook (Birchip Hotel), Hannah Kemp (Smales & Mallee Branded). Men’s lost 13-0. Ailise Rosenow (Greg’s Digging), Tison Wiantara (P & C Lowry & Mallee Branded). Under 15s won 1-0. Tadgh Lowry (Sharp’s Bakery), Samuel Hogan (Bowens’ Sports Store), Will Hogan (J & K Dean). Goal: Jenna Angel. Under 12s won 1-0. Tylah Haslam (Birchip Newsagency), Georgia Hogan (A & S Barber). Goal: Zali Angel. Minkey awards went to Cassie Tynan (Birchip IGA), Charmaine van der End (A Smith & H Hogan) and Beau Haslam (Bourkes’ Butchers).
