Seniors
Four wins from four on the footy field was the highlight of last Saturday’s Sockit2MND Round against Charlton. The seniors led all day but were challenged by an improving Navies outfit. It wasn’t until the final term that five unanswered goals put the game to bed, with the Bulls winning by 54 points. Reserves
The reserves moved into the top two with an 85-point victory. Jak Goldsmith continues to give senior selectors something to think about with impressive midfield play, while Matt Berry bagged seven goals. U16s
After a pasta meal and Friday night footy at coach JT’s place, the carbo-loaded U16s overran Charlton by 100 points. U13s
There was great excitement in the U13s, with the Calves getting home in nail-biter by one point. Netball
On the netball court it was a mixed bag for the Bullettes. U13A, C Grade and B Grade were too strong for the Navies, however, U16A and A Grade had a tough day out. A Grade – B-W 46 def by Charl 51. Hockey
It was an excellent day for the Bulls on the hockey field, with the women defeating Charlton for the first time in many years. The Under 12s also excelled themselves, drawing with the top team. Women’s won 3-1. Kellie Matthews (BWFC Ladies’), Bridie Reid (A Smith & H Hogan). Under 12s drews 0-0. Zali Angel (Sharp’s Bakery), Emily Barber (Bowens’ Sports Store), Anthony Rigby (J & K Dean). Minkey awards went to Eliza Gould (Birchip IGA), Marcus Atkinson (Bowens’ Sports Store), Lana Angel (Bourkes’ Butchers).
