On a sad note, the sudden passing of Teresa Walsh from Sth Tweed JRL, has rocked the Tweed & football community...
Teresa was a single mum of 3 and a very dedicated voluteer at Sth Tweed. You may know her as the First Aid Officer...
For anyone wanting to come and celebrate her life, details are as follows:
Service at the Salvation Army building Banora Point at 2pm Tuesday 30th June, then heading to Sth Tweed JRL fields after burial at Tweed Cremetoriam and Gardens..
Everyone is asked to wear club shirts or black, orange & white (Teresa's favourite colours).
Normally I add green or yellow but I find it fitting to add Teresa's favourites colours..

Thank you to all those parents who lent a hand around our club last Saturday..
Very dis-appointed that with 3 x U7's sides playing at home, we had NO parents helping in the canteen from 8.30-9. Thanks to the 4x U10's parents who stepped up to cover. Very much appreciated..
We only require 2-4 parents each home game and with the amount of parents you have in your team, it works out that you only have to do it once all season..1/2 hr is not that much when our canteen is what helps keep reduce your fees!!!

All games are at home again this week except for our U14's.
Again your help around the grounds, canteen etc is very much needed. This is our only source of income which helpsreduce your rego fees......
U7's & U10's parents are required to help with field setup, while the U9's & U16's parents are required to pack up after games..

Lastly, All Coaches, Managers etc, Suzie Z will be contacting you all regarding the new Working with Children Checks, that MUST be completed before any training commences for 2015. You can either do it online by typing in Children Checks NSW, very simple, or you can come to the canteen and Sue will assist you on the computer there.. The check lasts 4/5 years.. this is the link-

The club would once again like to encourage all parents to consider Ambulance cover for their child/children who is/are playing in the group 18 competition. As has been mentioned previously in newsletters Ambulance services are not fully covered in your players insurance...THE BILL CAN BE HEFTY AND QUITE A NASTY SURPRISE!!!!.
Once AGAIN the clubs are being reminded to enforce the ruling on side-line dress codes with particular attention being paid to FOOTWEAR. NO coach, trainer, manager or injured or sick player can enter the field of play OR SIT ON THE BENCH UNLESS they have COMPLETELY closed in footwear i.e NO THONGS, SCUFFS, SANDLES, CROCS etc. You will be asked to leave the players area and remain behind the rope or fence. These rules WILL BE ENFORCED at Cudgen or otherwise we face a fine from Group 18. The club is not prepared to pay such fines for a rule which is so simple to follow.

Ever wondered what to do with your boots that may have only been worn for one season and are to good to throw out???
Bring them down to the canteen so we can let them play another season.
Any boots that don't find a new home will be donated to charity.
