NEW PATRON FOR THE TIGERS

Following the resignation of long serving Patron Brian Trist, at this years AGM a new Patron was elected. Doug Murray stated that he was estremely honored to accept the position.

BRIAN, who joined the Noosa Tigers in 1972, became Patron in 2000.  Since joining the club Brian has worked tirelessly in many roles including committee member in 1973 and  was trainer of the seniors and reserves for 18 years. Awards and honors presented to Brian include Club Person of the Year in 1979 and 1992, Honorary Life Membership in 1983, the Australian Sports Medal in 2000, AFL Volunteer of Australian Football Achievement 2001 and a member of the SCAFL Hall of Fame 2010.

Brian stated that he will still be around the club helping out where the club is a fantastic family atmosphere at the club.

DOUG joined the club in 1997 and joined the committee the next year,  He was Vice President from 1998 - 2003 and 2009 - present, President from 2004 - 2006 and on committee 2007 and 2008 and senior team manager from 1997. 

Awards and honors presented to Doug include Club Person of the Year 2002, John Bain Memorial 2000 and 2001,  AFLQ Service to Football Award 1990, Honorary Life Membership 2004 and membership of the SCAFL Hall of Fame in 2010.
