2013 CCDJRL- Representative Calender News

The Representative Structure of CRL and the CCDJRL has changed slightly for the 2013 season. In past seasons the Under 15’s & 16’s have participated in the CRL Country Championships and the Under 13’s & 14’s have engaged in their Representative Cluster.

From 2013 the Under 16’s will compete in line with the Under 18’s and 1st Grade Central Coast teams at the Regional Championships. This will take place on the 8th & 9th of June 2013 with The Final taking place on the 29th of June 2013. A Development Squad has been selected for this age group and a team will be selected on Saturday the 6th of April 2013.

The CRL Country Championships will now be for Under 14’s and 15’s. This will take place in May/June of 2013 in Port Macquarie. While Development Squads have been selected for these two age groups there will be an OPEN TRIAL on Sunday the 24th of March 2013. Venue TBC. All trialists will be considered for this team.

The Under 13’s has been the major restructure. Throughout the CRL and NSWRL there has been a concern of player burnout of younger participants. As a result, the CRL have made the decision to have Under 13’s as Development only. This is a decision we very much agree with and can greatly benefit.

On Sunday the 10th of March 2013 all Clubs Under 13’s teams will participate in an U/13’s Development Day. The benefits of this day include;

  • An introduction for teams progressing from Mod to International Rugby League
  • An opportunity for the CCDJRL Grading Committee to assess teams
  • Clubs given the benefit of having trials pre arranged
  • All teams on display for 13’s Rep Selection Staff to select Development Squad.

While the Under 13’s is purely a Development Program they will still be playing games and Representing the Central Coast in doing so. It also gives us the opportunity to develop double the amount of players as in previous seasons.

Everyone working for Woy Woy Juniors are volunteers, many without children still playing, so all help that is given is greatly appreciated. It's your club too- Please get involved..

 Home Round Info : Unfortunately not all teams will necessarily play at home on a home round, this is due to varied number of players  in each age group/grade /club of the ever growing Central Coast Division.The draws are set by the Central Coast Division Junior Rugby League who are a committee of volunteers like us. They do their best to keep everyone happy with  ground allocations and management of the CC competition throughout the season which as you can imagine would be no easy task..

 Keep an eye on the Draw, Results ,Ladder tab (at the top of this page)which is updated as the draw is released.
