Friday February 15, the St Pauls Football Club players travelled to picturesque Inverloch for a two day training camp.
After catching up on their rest on Friday night (until Sammy Nas begun chopping wood at 3am in the morning), the boys were up bright and early to kick day one off with a 5km warm up run.
On their return, the players were greeted by trainers from Moorabin Crossfit who were ready to put the boys through plenty of pain during the day ahead.
In 35 degree conditions, the day was broken in to three sessions between 8am and 5pm and by the end of the day, the boys were well and truly knackered, but were bonded by the fact that they helped each other through a tough day and completed all activities.
Saturday night, the group were rewarded to a BBQ dinner and a few quiet drinks as they recovered and reminisced on the days challenges.
Sunday, the boys awoke bright and early and headed to the nearby beach to freshen up some sore bodies from the day before. After heading back to the accommodation, everyone enjoyed some breakfast and then it was time to pack up and head back to Melbourne for some much needed R&R.
A massive thankyou goes to Sam Nasredin for his wonderful hospitality and allowing the group to use his holiday home accommodation.
Also, big thankyou's go to Paul "Spanner" Commerford, Darren Rogers, and senior coach Paul Howroyd for all their support, encouragement and help over the weekend.
Bring on the Footy!!!!!!
