Metro Football League Premiers 2015!

IT was a nail-biting finish but Warwick Greenwood has won its first Metro Football League division one premiership.

After a week off, the Bulls (pictured right) came out charging at Robinson Reserve on Sunday, leading by 20 points at quarter time and 19 points going in to the long break.

But the Baldivis Brumbies were not ready to lie down, fighting back in the third term to finish the quarter one goal ahead.

The lead changed four times in the final quarter before the Bulls hit back late in the term, holding on to secure the flag by just five points.

They finished the day 13.7 (85) to Baldivis 12.8 (80).

It was a fairytale finish for the division one team that finished fourth in 2012, third in 2013 and second last year.

Bulls’ best on ground was Anthony Foley, Ryan Watkins and Matt Greenhouse, who also kicked three goals to help get them over the line.
